Fill a pot with about 1/3 cup of water. Place a double boiler over the pot and bring the water to a boil on high. Add the broccoli florets in the double boiler, lower the heat to medium low and let steam for 5 minutes with the lid on, or until the broccoli is ready.
Tip: Add some seasoning to the water to give the broccoli some extra flavour.
Pre-heat the oven to 425oF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper then add the broccoli florets on the sheet. Drizzle some olive oil on top. Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Tip: For even more flavour, sprinkle a pinch of parmesan on top.
Heat a pan on medium. Once hot, add a drizzle of olive oil then place the broccoli florets in the pan. Sauté for 8 to 10 minutes or until ready.
Place the broccoli florets in a microwave safe bowl. Add about a cup of water to the bowl. Cover most of the bowl but leave a small opening. Heat in the microwave for 5 minutes or until it’s ready.
Don’t forget that broccoli is also tasty when raw! Cut into small florets to make it easier to eat and serve with a dip. Bon appétit!
